The charged sports crossover Skoda Karoq with a hybrid installation will soon be presented to the public. Presumably, the new crossover will not officially go on sale until 2016.

Not so long ago, Skoda introduced the new Karoq crossover. In many ways, the new product is similar to the Skoda Kodiaq, but still has its own special differences. The first models of the Skoda Karoq crossover will arrive at dealerships only by the end of this month, and the manufacturer said it will soon present a charged sports version with a hybrid engine.

Most likely, the charged hybrid Skoda Karoq Sportline will be presented next year. The dealerships are planning a hybrid novelty in 2019, paired with the hybrid Superb and Kodiaq. According to preliminary photos of the new charged crossover Skoda Karoq, the front grille and side mirrors will be black. At the base are completely new two-tone alloy wheels and large roof rails.

Brief characteristics of Skoda Karoq 2017-2018

Under the hood of the charged Skoda Karoq crossover, there may presumably be a TSI Evo unit with a volume of 1.5 liters or a TDI unit with a volume of 2 liters. The power of such a unit is about 250 horses. The main competitor is the Spanish SEAT Ateca Supra with a turbocharged TSI engine with a volume of 2 liters. The power of such a hybrid unit is 300-310 horses. According to reliable information from Christian Strube, the new hybrid is already being tested.

The dimensions of the charged hybrid Skoda Karoq will be the same as in the regular version of the crossover. The length of the car is 4382 mm, the width of the crossover is 1841 mm, and the height is 1605 mm. The wheelbase of the new Skoda Karoq is 2638 mm, and the all-wheel drive version is 2630 mm. Today, the trunk volume of an ordinary car of this type is 521 liters, and with the seats folded down, 1630 liters. There are already many pre-orders for the current, ordinary model of the Skoda Karoq crossover, the company's engineers assume that the charged sports version of the Skoda Karoq RS will be in no less demand.
