Four-wheel drive SUVs are rightfully considered the kings of the road. Powerful, beautiful cars in a modern design look equally elegant on a city road or in the middle of an impassable thicket.
In Ukraine, the market for SUVs and crossovers occupies a third of the sales segment in almost all price categories. What are the most expensive SUVs in Ukraine in 2019?
Rating of expensive SUVs in Ukraine
1. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
First in the ranking is Jeep's 2.5-ton SUV. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is equipped with a 707 hp V8 compressor engine. with. To "hundreds" the car accelerates in a record 3.5 seconds, the maximum speed is electronically limited to 290 km / h.
The price on the Ukrainian market is from $ 90,000, but this is far from the limit. After tuning in the Hennessey Trackhawk studio, it received the most powerful configuration, which has a slightly larger, 6.5 liters engine volume, accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 332 km / h. The price of the tuning model is from $ 180,000.
More than twenty Jeeps in the basic version and only one model from Hennessey were seen on Ukrainian roads. And this is all the more surprising, since the premiere of the SUV took place in April 2018.
The 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk gets a high-performance Hellcat engine with 875 Nm of torque. Previously, it was installed on the extreme Challenger and Charger models; for the Trackhawk, the engine generates 528 kW, (717 hp, while the Jeep, with a dead weight of 2,433 kg, can tow a trailer weighing 3.3 tons.
In the entire history of the brand, the concept has become the fastest and one of the most powerful.
In addition to the modernized all-wheel drive system and an automatic transmission in 8 steps, the car received a new limited slip differential, which is electronically controlled, the distribution of torque is transmitted in five proportions depending on the nature of the road.
The engineers from Hennessey also worked wonderfully over the tuning of the model. The engine power was increased to 1200 hp. and the volume of the motor was increased by only 300 grams.
2. Audi SQ8
The price of an all-wheel drive SUV from the 2018 Audi is from 70 to 130 thousand dollars. The model received an expressive design and advanced technologies, a sporty appearance and the same driving characteristics.
For the first time in the configuration, in addition to the familiar TDI series engine, the SUV received a 55 TFSI quattro engine with a capacity of 340 hp. Paired with air suspension and fully controlled chassis, the car accelerates to "hundreds" in 5 seconds.
The SUV is also offered with a 50 TDI quattro engine with a capacity of 256 hp. Here, as in the model of the previous seventh generation, three turbines are installed, one of which is the electric Audi SQ7 TDI.
Diesel equipment has become the fastest - up to 100 km / h 2.5-ton SUV accelerates in a record 4.8 seconds for the class. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h.
3. Ford Expedition
The fourth-generation rear- or all-wheel drive Ford Expedition SUV debuted at the Frisco Auto Show (USA), the price of a car of the "K3" class - from $ 100,000. But a year later, several models of this beautiful car, built on the famous base of the Ford F-150 pickup truck, were seen in Ukraine.
The Ford company will not soon abandon the production of frame vehicles. Starting at $ 99,000, the Expedition is available in two body styles on a single frame.
The extended version of Expedition Max with a length of 5533 mm is installed on a wheelbase of 3212 mm. This means that 7 adult passengers are comfortably accommodated in the SUV, the third row is practically no different from the second. The trunk volume of 530 liters is also preserved.
Regardless of body type, the 2017 Ford Expedition offers a single powertrain - a V-shaped 3.6-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder with 375 hp. In the upgraded Platinum version, the engine is boosted to 400 hp. There is only a ten-stage "robot" in a pair.
4. Land Rover Range Rover
One of the most expensive SUVs on the Ukrainian market is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover. The showrooms sell three versions of the all-wheel drive Land Rover, the minimum price is $ 162,000.
The concept is recognized as the most expensive among the entire model range of the brand. The premiere of the facelift took place in the fall of 2017, and not at a motor show or auto show, but at the Design Museum in London.
Facelift involves, first of all, a change in the appearance of the car, a redrawn radiator grill and modified roof lines. All this fourth generation Land Rover Range Rover has in full, but the SUV received the most changes in the cabin and in the equipment of the engine compartment.
The seats are adjustable in 24 settings, have heating, cooling function and hot stones massage.
Already in the base there is a panoramic roof, the sliding section is controlled not only by a button, but also by gestures, 4 options for a matrix head light, a multimedia system for back row passengers, a Meridian stereo center with 13, 19 or 20 speakers, four-zone climate control.
The power unit is equipped with a hybrid - it is an inline-four and an electric motor, familiar from the Sport model, which produce 404 liters in a pair. The most powerful equipment is a five-liter gasoline V8 with a capacity of 565 liters. and a moment of 700 Nm.
There are also two diesel engines in the lineup: a turbocharged three-liter V6 with a capacity of 248 hp. and a torque of 600 Nm and a 4.4-liter V8 with 339 hp. All motors are aggregated with an 8-speed automatic transmission and have a hollow drive.
5. Mercedes G-Class (W463)
The 2019 Mercedes G-Class has an immodest price already in the factory version. In the Ukrainian market, Base equipment with a 2.9-liter diesel engine is sold at a price of $ 125,000, and the most powerful version with a 63 AMG (4.0i) engine and 585 hp. already costs $ 187,000.
But this is not the most expensive equipment for an all-wheel drive SUV. After tuning from the Brabus studio, the price of the model increased to 300,000 euros.
Several Mercedes G63 Brabus with state registration numbers were spotted in Ukraine, the car has a 700-steel engine and accelerates to one hundred kilometers in 4 seconds.
And although they say that the 2019 Gelik got rid of its army roots, this is only partly true - in terms of the feeling of driving and the comfort of the driver and passengers. Outwardly, it is the same square, chopped body, massive platform, spare wheel cover and the characteristic rough sound of door locks.
Restyling of the W463 model took place in Detroit in January 2018. The SUV has become somewhat lighter - the doors, hood and fenders are made of aluminum, the total weight of the model has decreased by 170 kg, and the base remains the same grade of strong steel.
The update brought the complete set revolutionary changes in the interior of the passenger compartment and technical equipment. A full-fledged Command system remote control, three-zone climate control, Burmester audio system are installed in the center.
The SUV is built on a new frame - from the AMG division. For the first time, the G-Class received an independent suspension instead of the front axle, instead of a worm gear, it is now equipped with an electric power steering rack.
The inseparable rear axle has received symmetry. The ground clearance has increased to 27 cm, the SUV easily passes a ford of 70 cm.
The power unit is represented by the only 4-liter V8 in two classes: the G500 version with a capacity of 422 hp. and the G63 version with a capacity of 585 liters. The second motor got to be upgraded in the Brabus studio, the maximum speed for all units is electronically limited to 220 km / h.
6. Lamborghini Urus
Lamborghini Urus belongs to the class of all-wheel drive crossovers, occupying an intermediate link between full-fledged frame jeeps and city SUVs.
In Ukraine, the model is sold at a price of $ 400,000 and is supplied only on order after a rather big advance. The 2019 model comes with a 650-horsepower V8. The speed of one of the fastest SUVs in the world is 305 km / h.
The premiere of the concept took place in 2017 on the parade ground of the Lamborghini plant in the Italian town of Sant'Agata Bolognese.
The civilian SUV has the family traits of the military transport that engineers produced a decade ago and the traditional lines of the classic sports car.
The car looks quite aggressive and moderately brutal: a high radiator grille with enlarged side sections, narrow predatory headlights, a sloping roofline - everything gives out power and strength in the model. And considering that the dimensions of the Urus are 5112 mm in length and 2016 in width, the concept also looks gorgeous.
The power unit is represented by a four-liter biturbo "eight". For the first time, Lamborghinis used a turbocharger at minimum loads, electronics shutting off half of the cylinders to save fuel. The pair is an eight-speed classic "automatic" ZF.
7. Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Rolls-Royce Cullinan is officially sold in Ukraine at a price of $ 450,000 or UAH 12,500,000. The 2019 quota, which consists of just three cars, was sold out back in June.
The luxury all-wheel drive K3 class SUV was first presented to the public in 2018 in Goodwood, the English town where the brand's headquarters are located. It is the first Rolls-Royce with all-wheel drive and the brand's first full-fledged SUV. In addition, the Cullinan claims to be the world's largest SUV in its class. The wheelbase of the model is 3295 mm, the height is 1835 and the length is 5341 mm.
It makes no sense to talk about the interior equipment - the car has all the modern control and comfort options. The power unit is equipped with a single biturbo V12 with a volume of 6.75 liters and a capacity of 571 liters. with., paired with an automatic transmission in 8 steps from the ZF.
8. Bentley Bentayga
The Bentayga model also takes its place in the ranking of the most expensive SUVs in Ukraine. The average price of an all-wheel drive K3 car is $ 160,000.
Since 2015, more than 60 examples of this elegant car have been sold in the country. If we consider the car in the category of comfort and luxury, the Bentayga will take first place among all the models in the rating and will press the luxury Cullinan and Urus.

Rounding out the rating is the country's most expensive SUV - a six-wheeled G63 AMG 6X6 from Mercedes-Benz priced at $ 1,100,000.
The iconic Gelendvagen is sold in Ukraine at a price of more than UAH 29 million, and as of September 2019, the model has not yet found its owner.
The car is located in the official Mercedes-Benz showroom in Kiev. Today, many motorists come to the salon just to look at the luxurious and most expensive car as an exhibit, without even dreaming of buying it.
